Music and Worship

At All Saints we enjoy a variety of musical styles: traditional hymns, modern worship songs, Taize chants, Iona community, world music, a variety of Mass settings…

Our music is congregational and we are proud of it. We are bolstered by a building with an excellent acoustic for music.

In the Sunday Parish Mass, solo cantors lead psalms and the introduction to the gospel, as well as help the congregation along with any new music.  For special occasions like Christmas ‘Candlelit Carols’ or other main festivals our cantors join together to form a choir.

We have two organists Martin Latham and Trevor Barr. We are also experimenting by inviting other instrumentalists to come and play.

Occasionally we gather on a Saturday morning to learn new songs and Mass settings – often with bacon butties to follow!

All Saints’ also loves to host concerts and rehearsals of choral and instrumental groups. As a venue for music-making it is well received by performers and audience alike.

Emscote Community Singing Group meets at All Saints’ on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. A chance to learn new songs and enter into the joy that singing together can bring.
