The Julian Meeting

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD’ Psalm 46 v10

There are Julian members in many countries of the world.

The Julian Meeting at All Saints’ happens on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm, in the Lady Chapel.

Our meeting begins with a short introduction by one of the members of the group, followed by about 30 minutes of silent prayer. We end the meeting with refreshments.

THE PURPOSE OF THE JULIAN MEETINGScontemplation, meditation

  • To foster the teaching and practice of contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition;
  • To encourage people to practise contemplative prayer in their daily lives, and explore ways of doing this which are appropriate for them;
  • To support the individual ecumenical Julian Meetings – groups whose members meet regularly to practise Christian contemplative prayer together.
